The Old Queen’s Head is a grade II listed building located right in the centre of Bonsall village next to the famous Celtic cross. It is mentioned in the Domesday book and was rebuilt in 1647 as a coaching inn after being destroyed in the civil war due to Bonsall’s allegiance to the King. After falling into decline in the 20th century, it has now been restored to its former glory and comprises a café with courtyard on the ground floor and accommodation above. The rooms are available to private parties on a full and/or half board basis. Also available to residents is the old parish meeting room which can be used for art and music or any classroom activities. The Old Queen’s Head will be of interest to small groups:
